The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of the Thousand Islands Regency held a Socialization of the 2022 Social-Economic Registration Activities (Regsosek) at the Grand Cempaka Hotel, Jakarta, Friday (16/09/2022).

The activity which was opened directly by the Regent of the Thousand Islands, Junaedi, was also attended by the Head of BPS DKI Jakarta, Anggoro Dwitjahyono, as well as related SKPD/UKPD, sub-district and village heads.

"Regsosek activities are the government's effort to realize one data on the Social Protection and Community Empowerment Program," said Anggoro.

The legal basis for Regsosek activities is Law Number 16 of 1997 concerning Statistics, Government Regulation Number 51 of 1999 concerning the Implementation of Statistics, Presidential Regulation Number 86 of 2007 concerning the Central Statistics Agency, and Presidential Instruction Number 4 of 2022 concerning the Acceleration of the Elimination of Extreme Poverty.

“Through Regsosek, the embodiment of adaptive social protection will be more concrete. Where the benefits are for administrative services, Prioritization of Aid/Program Recipients, Inclusive Planning and Advocacy Database, and MSME Development," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of BPS for the Thousand Islands Regency, Alfonso Triantoro added, the initial data collection for Regsosek used a family approach by taking into account the domiciles of all family members listed on the Family Card (KK), where the initial data collection will be carried out on October 15 – November 14, 2022.

"Through the Socialization of Regsosek Activities, it is hoped that it can increase and strengthen OPD cooperation in the Thousand Islands Regency in the context of initial data collection," he added.
