Sectoral Statistics Development Activity for Regional Apparatus in the Seribu Islands Regency, held at The Tavia Heritage Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

The activity which was opened by the Head of BPS DKI Jakarta Province, Nurul Hasanudin, was also attended by the Head of BPS Seribu Islands Regency, Alfhonso Triantoro, Senior Statistician Expert of BPS DKI Jakarta Province, Theresia Parwati, related SKPD/UKPD and others.

"This activity is to improve collaboration between BPS and the Regional Government, in this case the Seribu Islands Regency, which is very important to be carried out so that it can meet the specific data needs of Government Agencies," said the Head of BPS DKI Jakarta Province, Nurul Hasanudin.

Nurul assessed that the support of regional apparatus in the Seribu Islands Regency is very important in conducting sectoral statistics, which play a role as a basis for information in development planning and implementation.

"This activity is important to be able to collaborate in carrying out tasks and development, as well as supporting the formulation of policies and evaluation of activities in development planning and implementation, as well as helping to determine priorities and predict risks and obstacles," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of BPS of the Seribu Islands Regency, Alfhonso Triantoro explained that sectoral statistics are very vital data in supporting the planning, implementation, evaluation, and control of regional development, so that its implementation needs to be carried out in a coordinated, standardized and quality-standard manner, so that it can be utilized optimally, not only by the Government, but also by the wider community.

"This activity aims to increase understanding of sectoral statistical policies, One Data Indonesia, and the National Statistics System, encourage synergy and coordination between regional devices in building a stronger data ecosystem, and improve data quality through the application of official statistical principles, including data standards, metadata, interoperability, and openness of information," he said.

Sectoral Statistics Development is expected to build an understanding that data is not just output, but is a strategic asset that underlies decision making, both in the technical and policy scopes.

It is noted that this Sectoral Statistics Development will have several materials that will be delivered, including Identification of Statistical Activities, One Data Indonesia (SDI), Data Quality, Statistical Business Processes, Institutions and National Statistical Systems (SSN).

"This Sectoral Statistics Development activity is stage one, where participants receive materials on One Data Indonesia and Data Quality. While the second stage, namely Statistical Business Processes, Institutions and SSN, is planned to be implemented in May by involving SKPD/UKPD of Seribu Islands Regency in general," added Alfhonso.
