November 2019 DKI Jakarta Suffers 0.19 Percent Inflation

Abstract

In November 2019, DKI Jakarta experienced 0.19 percent inflation due to rising health prices by 0.39 percent. Three sub groups experienced price increases such as health services 0.84 percent, medicines 0.25 percent, and physical care and cosmetics 0.17 percent.
During January-November 2019 inflation in DKI Jakarta reached 2.92 percent, higher than inflation in the same period the previous year which was 2.66 percent.
The inflation rate in November 2019 against November 2018 in DKI Jakarta reached 3.53 percent, higher than the inflation rate in the same period in the previous year which was 3.33 percent.
In November fifty-seven cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation was Manado at 3.30 percent and the lowest inflation was in Malang at 0.01 percent. DKI Jakarta ranks 40th of all cities experiencing inflation.
Inflation also occurred in all DKI Jakarta Satellite Cities namely Bekasi City and Tangerang City experiencing inflation of 0.37 percent, Bogor City 0.24 percent, and Depok City 0.13 percent.
The city experiencing the highest deflation was Tanjung Pandan City -1.06 percent and those experiencing the lowest deflation were Batam City and Denpasar City -0.01 percent.
